Water Grill South Coast Plaza

We came here for a celebration dinner. The staff took great care of our large party, and even sat us in a privet room. The food however, left much to be desired. My biggest issue was that the food lacked flavor. It is also fairly pricey for the quality of food that you get. For the experience I give Water Grill an A, the food gets a D+

We watched this place be built and always said we wanted to try it, and tonight we finally did! This was not just dinner, it was a dining experience. From the moment we walked in we felt special. Everyone congratulated us on our celebration, and our server, Steven was incredible! He was attentive but also gave us time to enjoy our meal. We were visited by the dining room manager as well as the general manager. I will recommend this restaurant to everyone I know. Water Grill sets the bar in hospitality and service. The food was impeccable and prepared perfectly. I had the Chilean Sea Bass which melted like butter in my mouth. My wife had the Salmon which was prepared to her liking. I honestly can't say a bad thing about this place!

We like a lot hanging out. Yesterday we went to this fine place which we didn’t know before. We had a beautiful experience there with excellent cooking and a well-trained stuff and a talented cook. We put this place in our phone list and we will surely go again soon. We deeply recommend.

We wanted seafood while in Irvine and this place delivered! Everything was fresh and creatively prepared. The sea bass with butternut squash gnocchi was excellent. They also had Dungeness crab in season which was fabulous. The place is huge and has both indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommend.

Extensive menu of fresh seafood choices including live lobster and crab in tanks in the restaurant. I had the Chilean Sea Bass. It was absolutely phenomenal and cooked so perfect with a crispy outside and buttery inside. Great atmosphere and wait staff.

Great vibe and decor. Staff is very nice and bartenders are excellent. The bread is amazing! Oysters were very fresh and tasty. Calamari was excellent...fresh...crispy...someone the best I have had. The Cioppino was very tasty. Only complaint was it needed more crab or at least a larger cluster, it was tiny. I'll definitely come back.
